The People.
The best part about Half-Life? The people.
The experiences would be next. But without the people, who would you share them with?
After working at building Half-Life for about 6 years now, it's the time spent with Half-Lifers that makes me smile the most. Whether it's hanging with Sharky, our surf instructor in Maui. Or Sky, our wing guide in Vietnam. My local crew. Students on the water for the first time. Calls with customers across the U.S. and around the world. Those times, those interactions mean the most to me.
The interesting thing is when I put Half-Lifers together, lifelong friendships form. The old saying about birds of a feather couldn't be more on point.
Sharing the Nexus
Here's the thing. This enjoyment, this reward of being at the center of these connections, has mostly been mine alone. I've been the one making the introductions. Watching the friendships spark. Seeing people find their crew.
In 2026, I'm going to share that with you.
I'm excited for a lot of things this year. Adventure trips. New gear. But launching the Half-Life community is what I'm most excited about. It will allow you to connect directly with other Half-Lifers, instructors, and guides around the world. More on that soon.
What's Coming
Podcast Drop: If you haven't gotten your fill of Tim so far this year, we've got a podcast with Cindy Skalicky. Topics include communication, leadership, and building startups. I'm excited for you to hear our conversation!

New Guide: Felipe This month we added Felipe to our guide team. He's a tow foil expert, teaches wing foil, and is a great guy. He's based in Oahu, Hawaii. If you're headed that way, now you know who to call.
2026 On The Calendar:
Last week we shared the trip calendar for 2026.
The response has been great! People reaching out about Jackson Hole, Maui, Chicama, Costa Rica. Some of you are already making plans.
If you've been thinking about it but haven't reached out yet, now's the time. Some trips have limited spots. Some dates are still coming together. Hit the button below and let me know what you're interested in and we'll figure out if there's a fit.
Here's what's on the books:

- Jackson Hole: dates TBD (Ski)

- Gorge: dates TBD (Wing Foil, Mountain Bike, Golf)
- Chicama: Oct 2026 (Tow Foil)
