Day 27

(Thanksgiving Edition)

It's Thanksgiving morning. You're reading an email about exercise while your family is probably still asleep and you're wondering if you're taking this whole thing too seriously.

Fair question.

Here's what I'm not going to tell you: that you need to skip Thanksgiving dinner to get your workout in, or that your 27-day streak matters more than watching football with your kids, or that real commitment means choosing movement over moments with the people you love.

That would be insane.

But here's what I am going to tell you: you're four days from finishing something you started 27 days ago. And somewhere between the turkey and the third quarter, you're going to have to decide if that still matters to you.

Maybe it doesn't. Maybe you got what you needed out of this already. Maybe proving you could show up for 27 days straight was enough, and walking away now with your head high is the right call. There's no trophy waiting for you on day 30. No one's keeping score but you.

Or maybe it does matter. Maybe the point was never about perfect attendance. Maybe it was about proving to yourself that you could set a goal and see it through even when it got inconvenient. Even when the rest of the world was eating pie and taking naps and you had to find 10 minutes somewhere in the chaos to keep a promise you made to yourself a month ago.

I can't tell you which one is right. That's the whole point. This was never about me telling you what to do. It was about you figuring out what kind of person you're trying to become and then making choices that prove it.

So here's what the next four days look like: Today, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Four more chances to show up. Four more mornings where you'll have to decide if this thing you started still matters enough to finish.

And if it does? Then finish it.

Not because you have to. Because you said you would. And that still means something to you.

The Last Four Days

Let's be practical about what "finishing" actually means this weekend.

You're not training for the Olympics. You're not preparing for battle. You're just trying to move your body once a day for four more days while navigating Thanksgiving weekend with family, leftovers, and probably at least one argument about politics you didn't want to have.

So lower the bar if you need to.

Can't do the full session? Do half. Can't do half? Do 10 minutes. Can't do 10 minutes? Do a few stretches while the coffee brews. Just don't do zero.

Because here's the truth about day 27: you're not starting fresh anymore. You've got momentum. You've got proof. You've got 27 days of evidence that you can keep showing up even when you don't feel like it.

Don't throw that away because Thanksgiving weekend made it inconvenient.

Four more days. That's all that's left. You've already done the hard part. You've already survived the middle. Now just finish what you started.

What #ZERODAY30 Actually Meant

We've been getting messages all month. People sharing their version of #ZERODAY30. Their systems. Their struggles. The moments they almost quit but didn't.

One guy missed two full surf seasons years ago because he let one November slip. He's been moving every day this month. Rebuilding what he lost.

Another person wrote: "I don't appreciate you calling me out on this email." Then showed up anyway. 27 days straight.

That's what this was about. Not fitness. Not streaks. Building proof that you can make a decision and follow through even when every part of you wants to quit.

If you've been doing this, we want to hear about it.

Reply to this email or share your #ZERODAY30 story on Instagram. Tell us what it felt like. Tell us what it cost. Tell us why you didn't quit.

Here's What Matters

It's Thanksgiving. Be with your family. Watch the game. Eat the pie. Enjoy the day.

And somewhere in there, if it still matters to you, find 10 minutes to move. Not because I told you to. Because you told yourself you would 27 days ago.

Four days left. You'll figure it out.

All the best,
